SHRED IT. Get rid of useless papers that contain too much confidential info

If you need to shred a lot of some important papers, Texas Health Resources (THR) is hosting a free community shredding event, “Earth Day ShredFest,” from 9 a.m.-noon on April 20 at several THR facilities across the Metroplex, including numerous Arlington and Mid-Cities locations.
A THR representative and truck from Shred-it will be outside each of the 13 facilities. Local residents can bring up to five average-size file boxes of paper to be securely shredded on-site and then recycled.
Most paper items — including confidential documents, notebooks, binders and brochures — can be shredded and recycled. Paper clips and staples do not need to be removed. Cardboard and other heavy paper materials cannot be accepted, along with plastic, glass and aluminum.
Additionally, items such as CDs, DVDs, USB drives, hard drives and video/audio tape will only be accepted at the Corporate Office Tower in Arlington.
